The International Employee Assistance
Professionals Association (EAPA) is the largest, oldest and
the most respected professional association for individuals and
organizations in the employee assistance program field. Its mission is to
promote the highest standards of practice and the continuing development
of employee assistance professionals, programs and services.
With approximately 6,200 members in the United States and approximately
800 members from 30 other countries, EAPA hosts an annual conference,
publishes a journal for the employee assistance profession, and offers
training and other resources to enhance the professionalism of its
members and the industry.
EAPA members follow professional standards and a strict code of ethics,
which includes a firm commitment to protect and uphold confidentiality.
The EAPA Hellenic Branch was
established in 2003 to honor the objectives of Employee Assistance in
Greece. The Hellenic Branch’s visions are to stimulate growth and
research in the area of Employee Assistance, to study, analyze and
formulate proposals in issues related to EAPs and promote the development
of educational programs that will provide professional identification for
people interested in the field of Employee Assistance in Greece.
The EAPA Hellenic Branch focuses on
promoting research within the Greek working environment concerning
issues such as employee stress, psychological problems as well as
personal and family matters that affect the productivity and performance
of the employee.
Individuals and organizations in the employee assistance field may join
the Hellenic Branch of EAPA, as well as those who want to expand their
knowledge of workplace issues and trends affecting performance and
productivity.
The EAPA exists to:
Provide
leadership in promoting and developing EAPs in Greece.
Set
national standards of practice and professional guidelines for EAPs.
Provide
support and stimulation for the professional development of its members.
